What Are Juvederm Injections?

Juvederm is an FDA-approved dermal filler treatment that uses an injectable gel made of hyaluronic acid to smooth and reduce lines and wrinkles on the face, plump lips, and lift cheeks. It is simple and it is safe.

Our skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid which helps keep our skin moist and high in nutrients. As we get older, our skin’s ability to produce the acid decreases and our skin starts to flatten or sag. Juvederm injections replenish the acid and give you are more youthful appearance.

How Long Does Juvederm Last?

Patients who have received Juvederm injections report looking up to 5 years younger after just 6 months of treatment. It is long lasting. Patients typically only need one treatment a year. With cheek lifts, one treatment can last up to 2 years.

How Much Does Juvederm Cost?

Juvederm is sold by the syringe. How far one syringe of injectable gel stretches varies from person to person depending on the depth of their wrinkles or how full they want their lips. If you try to cover too many areas with too little product, you won’t achieve a noticeable effect and will probably won’t be satisfied with results. Your best bet is to ask your doctor for a cost estimate before treatments begin.

Because Juvederm replenishes a natural carbohydrate, it is common for patients to need less serum with each treatment after the initial one.
