A practice built on continuity.
Three decades serving West Chester families. Two generations of dentists. One continuous practice culture — and we like it that way. Here's our story and the people who make it run.
Three decades, one practice.
East Bradford Dental has been a West Chester staple since 1993 — through two ownership transitions that happened deliberately slowly, so patients never felt disruption.
Two dentists. Real continuity.
For Dr. Steven Casella, dentistry has always been personal. Born in Bethesda, MD, but raised in West Chester, he grew up surrounded by the values of community, compassion, and care.
After earning a degree in Psychology from Penn State and spending two years in the workforce, he realized his true calling was to follow in his father's footsteps. He completed his pre-med studies at West Chester University and went on to earn his D.M.D. from Temple's Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2011, also receiving training and certification in Invisalign clear aligner therapy.
Returning home to practice in the very community that shaped him has been one of the greatest honors of his life. His approach is simple but deeply felt: treat every patient like family, listen with empathy, and provide care that combines modern techniques with a genuine human touch.
When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Casella's happiest moments are spent with his two children, Cameron and Mina — exploring local favorites around town, heading down the shore, or enjoying cozy nights in with movies and good food.
Dr. Rupert was born and raised in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Natural Science — and was a member of the IUP ice hockey team along the way.
He continued his schooling at Temple University's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction. During dental school, he was a member of the Oral Surgery Honor Society, the Periodontology Study Club, and served as a Student Ambassador.
After Temple, Dr. Rupert completed a year-long General Practice Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network, gaining invaluable experience with a wide variety of complex cases. His approach is simple: treat every patient with the same respect, honesty, and care he would want for himself or his family.
Outside the office, Dr. Rupert enjoys exploring up-and-coming food spots, cooking meals he's never made before, Marvel movie marathons, and playing ice hockey.
